La Cosecha 2008 scheduled for November 12-15, 2008 marks the thirteenth anniversary of our annual conference which brings together educators, parents, researchers and practitioners who support dual language programs. We offer the opportunity to share our experience and knowledge, network and “harvest” the best our multilingual communities have to offer. La Cosecha 2008 will serve over 1,100 participants from throughout the Southwest and West, including Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas, as well as from other regions throughout the U.S. Our participants represent two-way immersion, developmental bilingual, and heritage language immersion programs.
We welcome exhibitors whose instructional materials and literature focus on home language and ESL instruction. Dual Language educators who attend La Cosecha conferences are looking for literature and content area materials for grades PreK-12 in Spanish and Navajo as well as ESL instructional and multicultural materials.
The Planning Committee of La Cosecha 2008 invites your company to submit a proposal to sponsor or exhibit on November 13, 14, and 15 (optional), 2008. All proposals will be reviewed by a committee of dual language educators. Exhibitor selection will follow the expressed needs of past La Cosecha conference participants.
Please note that selection is for Juried Exhibitor Selection is based on the quality of materials offered in our students’ home languages (Spanish and Navajo). ESL and multicultural materials in English will be considered, but should not exceed 50% of your proposed exhibit.
- The fee is $329 per exhibitor table space (8’ x 6’). The exhibitor’s fee of $329 per table space must be submitted with the proposal, in order to be considered.
- A limited number (10-14) of exhibitor spaces will be available, so that all exhibitors selected may benefit from the high traffic and natural light of the exhibition area.
- All juried exhibitors are limited to a maximum of 2 table spaces.
- Please insure that payment is received prior to July 11, 2008 in order for your company’s application to be considered by the committee.
- Checks will be returned to exhibitors not selected.
- Sponsors will receive one, two, or three tables depending on level of sponsorship given.
- Only proposals received by Friday, July 11, 2008 will be considered for the selection process. Notification of Juried Exhibitors will be sent via e-mail, by Friday, August 15, 2008.
